It is so unfortunate that so many of the proponents of the LVEC cannot simply put out facts as to why they support a Harbourfront LVEC without putting down opponents with degrading epithets.

William Leggett, in his article "Kingston and urban decay: A future we must avoid", (Saturday, March 19, 2005), continues this trend by labeling opponents as "instant experts". I read from this that public debate on issues is nothing but nonsense. What do citizens know about what is good and not good?

Perhaps Mr Leggett is right. After all, the citizens of Kingston are responsible for our sitting mayor!
