Drilling Activity at Anglin Bay, Dec 2004


David Moore and Jochebed Katan report on drilling activities in and around the Anglin Bay site since December 9th.

Dec 9 2004: Just to give a heads up on current activity on the sewer project on Wellington St. as it may relate to LVEC directly or indirectly :

Drill core samples are being taken in the park area - soil conditions or more likely contamination check?   The soil from the sewer trench is being removed in trucks specially lined with plastic film - hazardous waste precautions?

How do we find out from city hall what precisely is going on? Are test results accessible?
Dec 14, 11.45 AM, I took two photos of the city taking drill core samples in front of the Marina. They are not drilling on the property of the Marina, but just between the Wellington St. - road and 1 foot in front the Marina gate. You can see here the truck with the crane doing the drilling. On the white truck door the company's name : Downing (800) 567- 6847.

  

 

Later, 2:00 PM: they are drilling now in the Anglin parking lot.
